Finance
We are currently not recruiting for Finance Graduates
About the programme
Our CIMA and ACCA-accredited graduate programme consists of placements of between two and six months each, and lasts two years. At the end of the two year placement you will join one of the finance teams. It provides powerful content and a genuine chance to impact on what is a hugely successful business; but more importantly, it offers opportunities. Because we only take two or three graduates on every year, you will have the chance to move right across our business, and the potential to gain experience in commercial decision support, business assurance, investment appraisal, management and financial accounting, tax and treasury operations within your first two years.
We will not create an artificial environment for you – instead, these will be real projects, of real importance to the business. Moreover, we'll provide all the support you need to succeed in them.
Training and development
We've a firm commitment to releasing your full potential, but a lot will be driven by you: you're encouraged to come up with your own career goals by working with your line manager and work towards what you want to be. On and off-the-job training will underpin your placements wherever you go. You'll also be assigned a mentor – usually an experienced manager who will spend time with you to review your experiences in a supportive, open and honest way.
We will also support you towards professional qualification – CIMA or ACCA – with a comprehensive study support package. Your training and development will also extend well beyond the management development programme, and you'll continue to grow your skills throughout your career at the AA.
What you need
First of all, you should be committed to qualifying, and have at least a 2:1 in any subject. You should also be challenging, self-motivated and thrive in a team environment. You will also need to be able to demonstrate your ability to evaluate data both numerically and verbally.
Salary and benefits
As well as a competitive starting salary of £22,000 per annum you'll receive a range of benefits, annual cost of living review, an initial 23 days' holiday allowance, increasing to 25 days with experience and progression through your professional studies, a contributory pension scheme after three months' employment and a range of discounts on AA products and services.
