About the programme
We are offering an exciting trainee scheme for people keen to specialise as Data Warehouse Developers. We will provide the opportunity for you to be involved in real business projects with a tailored expertise building personal development plan. The project work will involve data modelling, implementing transformation rules, documentation and analysis using SAS toolsets.
We will be looking for enthusiasm and a flexible approach to learning. We will support you to develop and work towards your career goals by providing stretching work opportunities, and SAS tools education. You will learn to work independently and as part of a highly skilled expert team.
Timescales
Applications will close at the end of November 2009, and we will be holding an assessment centre mid-December. We would like to get the successful applicants working with us by the beginning of January.
What you need
You will need to be committed to attending and passing SAS certification at various levels, and you should be passionate and proactive about the analysis of data. An analytical background in your studies is essential. Your degree should be either Scientific, Mathematics or have included modules in database analysis and design if you took a computing or IT degree. You will need to have achieved at least a 2:2 result at degree level.
You should also have excellent communication skills as working with business colleagues is an integral part of the job.
Salary and benefits
The starting salary is £22,000 per annum with 25 days holiday. You will also be sponsored to undertake external SAS accredited courses. There is a contributory pension scheme and you will benefit from free AA membership after the first year of employment, and discounts on a whole range of AA products when you start. There is also free parking and a subsidised restaurant on site.
