About the AA
DO YOU THINK YOU KNOW THE AA?
Everyone's heard of the AA. Most people think of the yellow break down vans but there's so much more. We help our customers with pretty much anything to do with driving and insurance. We offer driving lessons, insurance, travel books and car checks. We even have a home emergency breakdown service for plumbing problems.
We're a trusted brand with thousands of loyal customers who come back to us year after year. They know they can rely on us to give them top-notch service. In fact Which? Magazine has awarded us the Recommended Breakdown Provider for the second year running.
We also offer free online services such as AA Route Planner, which has recently provided its one-billionth route. With weather forecasts, walking routes, cycle routes and travel ideas, we have most areas covered. AA Members can access a range of special discounts and money-can't-buy events through AA Rewards, and our website has lots of driving advice, from how to check your oil to the latest equipment you'll need for driving on the continent.
Oh, the yellow vans. Of course we still do that as well. Our AA patrols have been helping motorists for over 100 years and we now have around 15 million members. One of our patrols saves someone at the roadside every nine seconds. Since you started reading this, we'll have rescued another five motorists.
All of this brilliant stuff doesn't just happen on its own, though. We have thousands of people working all around the country, in hundreds of different jobs keeping the AA running smoothly. If you'd like to be part of a well-known and much-loved company perhaps the AA is for you.
Advocate for the motorist
Our public affairs team campaign on behalf of motorists on a range of matters such as car tax, petrol prices, road safety, clamping and young drivers. They're headed up by AA President, Edmund King.
What makes the AA so special?
We're experts at everything we do. We're reliable, trustworthy and we care. Being a customer of the AA is like having a friend who you can turn to in a crisis. We are committed to providing a fabulous service to our customers and we were scored 'excellent' in a recent survey of how we deal with motor insurance claims.
Do you want to join us and fly the flag of such a trusted brand? You'll be inspired, you'll be challenged and you'll be proud.
We believe that when people are playing to their strengths they are happier and more successful. So we do our best to match people to jobs that are just right for them. Take a look at the jobs we have. Do any of them sound just like you?
Mission and Values
Here at the AA we are dedicated to making every interaction with a customer a positive defining moment. This is achieved through our people living our brand values so that our members and customers know that the AA is always there when needed and they can trust what we say; that we have the knowledge and expertise to meet their needs; that we provide products and services that meet customer's needs and that we make them feel secure and safe.
We are actually a surprisingly diverse organisation, with a number of market-leading businesses all under one umbrella. There's our nationwide Driving Schools, for a start.
Financial services also make up a significant portion of our business: for example, we are the UK's biggest independent insurance broker, providing 1.6 million car, home and life insurance policies, and almost 120,000 loans every year.
We also produce successful publications like hotel and restaurant guides, maps and route finders.
The Acromas family

We're a happy family, so if you come and work with us, you're bound to meet the relatives every so often.
